Vantik Founder appointed to European Expert Panel
The EU has just laid the foundation for a single European market for private pensions. Vantik founder & CEO Til Klein is the only FinTech representative in the expert panel to the European regulatory authority.
Only FinTech representative in the Expert Panel
Til Klein, CEO and founder of Berlin-based FinTech Vantik, has been appointed to the prationiers expert panel on the new Pan-European Private Pension Product (PEPP) by the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). He will be the only representative from a FinTech among the 21 members. Til Klein explains, "We are proud that beside a growing number of clients trust in the Vantik pension also the European regulator relies on our expertise." He continues, "Among this extraordinary group of high-level experts I can bring in the needs of young customers and their expectations on the retirement product of the future. The new Pan-European pension market must also become a market for technology-enabled innovative products."
Pan-European Pension Product is coming soon
With the Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP), the EU has laid the foundations for a single European market for private pensions. The European insurance supervisory authority EIOPA plays a key role as the central licensing and supervisory authority for PEPP. To ensure a practice-oriented implementation, the EIOPA has appointed a high-level expert-panel with 21 European experts from companies, science and consumer protection. The committee meets for the first time in Frankfurt on July 30th.
